What excited you most about choosing Creighton as your university?

I was really excited to begin my college education with a large group of driven, qualified, caring and intelligent individuals. I was ready to step out of my comfort zone and move to a new place to really be immersed in growing as an individual.

What opportunities at Creighton have made your experience unique and valuable?

Being from Hawaii, I really value the sense of community that Creighton embodies wholeheartedly. From smiles and waves along the mall, to nights sitting in the residence hall hallways talking with friends, each moment here is what you make of it. Getting involved with clubs and working in the admissions office has helped me find a purpose for me being here and encourages me to be thankful for what I do have here and what I can do to make my time here amazing. Those activities are also creating a good foundation for my future and what I hope to do.

What do you think sets Creighton apart from other universities?

Creighton’s Jesuit values help make it unique. Students are encouraged to humble themselves by using the things that they learn to serve others, give to those who are in need and to think of ways in which we can make this world a place where equality is applauded and where people work towards big goals and ideas. Classes are dedicated to learning about yourself and what you value, while having an amazing college experience in social and academic settings.

From your experience, what do you think are Creighton’s strengths in preparing students for their future?

Creighton sets a really good foundation for a variety of majors and interests. Creighton challenges students to go above and beyond and to learn in ways that work for each individual, and to set goals and to take risks by embracing opportunities.
