Theatre is a collaborative art in which each person is useful to the production. As part of a theatre company and a community of aspiring scholars, students learn to be respectful of others’ ideas, beliefs and dreams.
The Lied Education Center for the Arts on the Creighton campus houses:
- A proscenium theatre
- A black box theatre
- A dance studio
Yearly performances of theatre, musical theatre and dance will offer you many opportunities to perform and work behind the scenes.
Creighton theatre faculty members are very active in the local theatre community and can help you arrange summer internships and opportunities off-campus during the academic year.
Theatre Minor
The theatre minor offers you a broad-based education in the theatrical arts. You can gain experience in acting, directing, theatre history, television, stagecraft and design.
