With a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in French and francophone studies from Creighton University, you’ll be able to speak, listen, read and write in French—a valuable skill in the global economy.
Students majoring in French at Creighton often study abroad. In fact, you could enjoy a three-week pre-summer session studying the history of Paris—in Paris! Creighton students also choose to help those in need in many parts of the French-speaking world, such as Haiti or West Africa. Majoring in French and francophone studies could broaden your horizons and enrich your life.
A minor in French also complements other academic programs at Creighton. Combine French with business, international relations, medicine or a variety of other studies. The possibilities are endless.
Learning a second language greatly enhances your career options. Students who study French at Creighton are working in such fields as international business, government and journalism. Others are in medical, law and graduate schools, and still others are translators, court interpreters or teachers in secondary and higher education.
