Hause named Nebraska Professor of the Year

For the third year in a row, the College of Arts and Sciences is a recognized leader in undergraduate education. Jeffrey Hause, Ph.D., professor of Philosophy and Classical and Near Eastern Studies and director of the Honors Program, has been named the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education 2015 Nebraska Professor of the Year.

Dr. Hause is the fourth faculty member from the College of Arts and Sciences to receive prestigious Professor of the Year honors in the last three years. Previous recent winners include Dr. Greg Zacharias, English (2014 Nebraska Professor of the Year); Dr. Gintaras Duda, Physics (2013 National Professor of the Year); and Dr. Matthew Huss, Psychology (2013 Nebraska Professor of the Year).

What is especially noteworthy is that Creighton is the only school in Nebraska and the only Jesuit university to earn Professor of the Year honors three straight years! Our outstanding colleagues who have earned this honor are also the most passionate advocates of the value of a liberal arts education.

The Professor of the Year award winners were officially announced on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015. Read more about Dr. Hause’s award and view the video.
