Dr. Wirth to Retire After 25 Years of Service
Dr. Wirth to Retire After 25 Years of Service

By Carol Zuegner

For 25 years, Dr. Eileen Wirth has helped countless students choose Creighton, pick a major, find an internship or get that first job or next step on the career ladder. She has taught, edited, recruited, mentored, coached, cajoled, listened, acted and baked. She has built relationships that grow into internships, jobs, opportunities and connections for when life is good and when life throws us a curveball. She has been the heart of the Department of Journalism, Media and Computing family, where she helped nurture so many good ideas that have kept the department innovative.

Dr. Wirth calls her mentoring and work with students the greatest joy of her time at Creighton. Read her personal reflection in Creighton Magazine.

Thanks to Dr. Wirth for all she’s done for College of Arts and Sciences students and congratulations on retirement.
